After taking a major blow this past Sunday in the fourth quarter all signs point that Raiders wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey will be alright.
Heyward-Bey was taken off the field on a stretcher during a fourth-quarter neck/head injury. Raiders coach Hue Jackson confirmed after Sunday’s win that Heyward-Bey has full use of his extremities and made the flight home with the team. He underwent precautionary X-rays at a local hospital in Minnesota, but all signs are positive for his long-term health.
Head Coach Hue Jackson said.
“Obviously, we’re still going to take precautions with him, but he’s moving around, walking around, looking like Darrius, neck brace on”. “He’s doing good. That was a tough shot that he took, but he’s a tough young man. I’m sure as fast as he can get out there with his teammates he will be.”
Desipite this Heyward-Bey is still questionable for Sunday’s game with the Chicago Bears.
